Biography

Lua Barreto has a PhD in Street Circus and formation at UNICAMP (University of Campinas). She has been Director at Cia Corpo na Contramão since 1991. After graduating from Escola Nacional de Circo with a Master in Cultural Performances from UFG, she has done post-graduate work in University Teaching from PUC-Goiás and graduated in Scenic Interpretation from Universidade Estácio de Sá. She was coordinator of the Technical Course in Circus Arts at the Escola do Futuro em Artes Basileu França from 2024 to 2026.
