Lauren Alford

I am am edutainer, speaker/comedian, hoop dancer, and aerialist from Maryland. I just completed my Master's in Community Nutrition Education (8/3/18) and love the concept of sharing valuable info related to health topics in a fun, entertaining way under a big top. Rewind nearly 10 years ago to when I first completed my undergrad in photography- early 2009. I went to work at Cirque du Soliel taking souvinier photos in Baltimore and New York before going off to massage therapy and personal training school later that summer. Fast forward through years of training, massage jobs, corporate work in A/V, freelance work as a designer and photographer, travel of the country to explore the food landscape and to create a 100 image photo book, running my own wall decor business and working at the circus on two more occasions - this time selling concessions. I am currently developing some of my own shows but I am looking for collaborators to cocreate larger performances and also currently open to helping out with local and regional shows either as a performer, tech, or front of house roles.
