KNOT Kollektiv

Founded in 2016, KNOT Kollektiv creates interactive performances that defy all genres by merging elements of dance, circus and theater and that push the boundaries of performing arts. Since it's formation the collective has developed a widespread network with artistic bases in the Netherlands (Tilburg, Breda, Utrecht and Den Bosch) as well as internationally in Ireland, Germany and Portugal.

Past creations of KNOT Kollektiv include several site specific short works such as Neither Did We (2018), It Didn't Start With Us (2018) and a short version of Internal Jogging (2019), as well as a number of contemporary stage works including Acoustic Resonance (2019) and Devour (2019).

The collective has been awarded numerous acknowledgements of their work such as the Chasse Theater and Podium Bloos Talent Development Award (2019), the Cafe Theater Festival Onderzoekers role (2019) and the Cafe Theater Festival Jury Prize for Youth and Family Audiences (2018). Further, the collective has been nominated for the Theaterfestival Boulevard Entree Prize as well as for the Jacques de Leeuw talent award for Ali's work as choreographer
