Growing up in a sporty family alongside her basket-baller brother Kate thought this to be her future, however the saturation of basketball 24/7 made her run in the opposite direction, immersing herself in dance, aerobic gymnastics and visual arts. Kate discovered circus as a teenager and thrived on the opportunity it presented to combine her physical training and creativity. Kate went on to study a Bachelor of Circus Arts at the National Institute of Circus Arts Australia (NICA) where she graduated in 2013 emerging as a specialist artist in aerial rope, aerial silks and German wheel. Since then Kate has performed both nationally and internationally with performance credits such as P&O cruises, Impact Artists (UK), Weber
Bros Circus (NZ), Strut & Fret Production house, Opera Australia and numerous corporate functions. Closer to home Kate founded Calligraphy Circus in 2017, a Melbourne based performance company presenting corporate acts and full length shows with a vintage flare.
