Kamila Ganclarska, Acrobat, Dancer, Rhythmic Gymnast
Kamila Ganclarska was born in Wroclaw, Poland. She started her training in rhythmic gymnastics at age 5, competing for the Polish National Team for 12 years and winning the Polish National Championship multiple times. In addition to her gymnastic training, Kamila trained professionally in Ballet for ten years as well as in contemporary dance, which she had the opportunity to study at the Broadway Dance Center in New York.
After retiring from competitive rhythmic gymnastics at age 17, Kamila began pursuing a university degree. While attending university, Kamila successfully auditioned for the Ocelot Foundationpart of the The European Federation of Professional Circus Schools (FEDEC) launching her career as a circus artist in 2005. From 2005-2010 Kamila performed internationally with companies such as Allianz, Porche and Peugeot, at the Dubai Summer Surprises Festival 2006, the World Tennis Championship 2009 in Doha, as well as at home for the opera house in Wroclaw.
In 2010 Kamila completed her masters degree in physical education, sport management and sport psychology from the Academy of Physical Education in Wroclaw, Poland. After completing her degree, Kamila toured with “Narodni Circus Original Berousek” from Prague, Czech Republic, for one year.
In 2011 Kamila was selected to be a part of the creation team for the biggest touring show in the world to date, “Odysseo” by Cavalia. Kamila toured internationally for 5 years with “Odysseo” performing in 21 cities across in the USA, Canada and Mexico as a soloist on aerial hoop, and as an ensemble member for the aerial fabric and duo Chinese pole acts. In 2013 she performed the duo pole act from Odysseo on “The Tonight Show” with Jay Leno. While working with Cavalia, Kamila also began training in equestrian arts, learning liberty, dressage, vaulting, and Roman ridding and eventually reaching a level which allowed her to begin performing these specialties in “Odysseo”.
In 2016 she came back to Europe and was featured as a aerial soloist in a new Cabaret "Follies de Paris" in Lille, France. At this time Kamila also began teaching aerial acrobatics in Momes Youth Circus School in Tournai , Belgium.
Kamila was invited for her third show creation, “Equila”, in 2017, this time with the Appasionata Horse Show in Showpalast Munich. During her time with Appasionata , her talent and passion earned her the position as acrobatic supervisor. During her time in Munich, Kamila began managing entertainment and performing in one of the cities most luxurious and famed night clubs “Call Me Drella” where she also cooperated with “Cirque Le Soire” from London.
Since 2018 she has been a part of “Cabaret Social Club” with company Okidok from Belgium.
In 2019 she became a semifinalist on both “Ireland’s Got Talent” in cooperation with Fl’Air studios (Berlin) and “Poland’s Got Talent” as a solo aerialist. Later that year Kamila worked with the company “battleRoyal” (Berlin) performing both solo aerial hoop and duo aerial straps for shows on the MS Europa 2 cruise ship and successfully completed an audition for Cirque du Soleil becoming part of their artist database.
Kamila was featured in 2019 at the Benidorm Palace in Spain performing a sexy aerial straps act in a bathtub for the show “Aqua”, which was unfortunately stopped due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Kamila continued working hard throughout 2020 and created a new and innovative act combining hair hanging and aerial hoop. She presented this number at the POLISH FESTIVAL International Circus Festival in Lublin, Poland where it won a special prize.
Kamila’s performances clearly show her heart and passion perfectly combining her difficult skills, flexibility, sexiness, big smile and charismatic spirit .
She has a unique style, which incorporates many dance figures in the air creating beautiful, breathtaking, and flowing art. Every choreography tells a story and has a hidden message or meaning. Her experience as a model has given her the capacity to portray many different characters and her movement quality makes her very interesting to watch.
Kamila loves the creative process and to search for inspiration in other types of art, so she often goes to museums or art galleries and looks to fashion designers.
Kamila looks forward to continuing to grow as an artist and aspires to continue her work performing as a soloist in Cabaret and Varieté Shows where she can connect intimately with the audience as well as presenting her newest creation, combined hair hanging and aerial hoop act, for some of the worlds most prominent international circus festivals.
