Kaiya Thomas

I’m a UK-based, multi-skilled circus artist with over 15 years of experience, including 5 years of circus education (BTEC and BA). When performing I aim to be able to connect with my audience and tell a story through movement and high quality circus skills. 

Aerial:
I specialise in Aerial Silks, Rope, Loops/Straps, Lyra, and Multi-Rope, with strong experience across a wide range of apparatus. I perform both solo and doubles acts in hoop, loops/straps, and silks/rope.

Ground:
My ground-based disciplines include movement, dance, physical theatre, lollipop, pixel whip, poi, and hula hoop.

Additional Circus Skills:
Beyond performing, I work as a choreographer, creative director, assistant rigger, and circus tutor. I’ve taught a range of aerial and ground disciplines to all ages, collaborating with companies such as Citrus Arts, Upside Down Circus, Circomedia, DanceBlast, and NoFitState Circus.

Other Background:
Outside of circus, I’ve trained in figure and ice skating, and have experience in digital art and online marketing.

Performance Highlights:
I’ve performed at high end corporate events, private parties, weddings, festivals, cabarets across the UK, including Camp Bestival, Big Love Festival, Blue Lagoon Festival, and Devizes Street Festival. Shows include Out on a Limb (Wired Circus UK tour), Dis-Connected (self-produced solo show with projection mapping), and Circus Mundi (NoFitState, Welsh Millennium Centre & Courtyard Theatre).
