Kaiya Thomas

I’m a UK-based, multi-skilled circus artist with over 14 years of experience and a First-Class BA (Hons) in Circus Arts from Circomedia, following five years of intensive training.

Aerial:
I specialise in Aerial Silks, Rope, Loops/Straps, Lyra, and Multi-Rope, with strong experience across a wide range of apparatus. I perform both solo and doubles acts in hoop, loops/straps, and silks/rope.

Ground:
My ground-based disciplines include movement, dance, physical theatre, lollipop, pixel whip, poi, and hula hoop.

Additional Circus Skills:
Beyond performing, I work as a choreographer, creative director, assistant rigger, and circus tutor. I’ve taught a range of aerial and ground disciplines to all ages, collaborating with companies such as Citrus Arts, Upside Down Circus, Circomedia, DanceBlast, and NoFitState.

Other Background:
Outside of circus, I’ve trained in figure and ice skating, and have experience in digital art and online marketing.

Performance Highlights:
I’ve performed at festivals, cabarets, and private events across the UK, including Camp Bestival, Big Love Festival, Blue Lagoon Festival, and Devizes Street Festival. Shows include Out on a Limb (Wired Circus UK tour), Dis-Connected (self-produced solo show with projection mapping), and Circus Mundi (NoFitState, Welsh Millennium Centre & Courtyard Theatre).
