Julian Mctaggart

Julian Mctaggart is an aerialist specializing in aerial straps. He grew up in the Green Mountains of Vermont, where he spent much of his time studying Theater, Art and Gymnastics. He has always had a love for performing and only wanted to find a way to blend that with athleticism. It was then that he discovered circus arts in his very own hometown at the New England Center for Circus Arts. He attended the school’s Professional Program, while also training in Montreal and Québec with world class coaches from ENC. Since graduating, he toured with AIDA cruises as an aerial generalist where he performed all over Europe and the UAE. And additionally competed in VivaFest’s emerging pro category, placing first in the Straps category and winning Over All VivaFest Champion

He aims to convey emotion and narrative in unconventional ways through his movements on and off the ground in his pieces, and feels most at home working in a close knit ensemble with other artists and performers.
