Julian Mctaggart

Julian McTaggart, grew up as a small boy running through the woods of Vermont. An avid cyclist and theater kid, Julian found circus at 18 years of age and felt an undeniable compulsion to pursue this. Driven by rampant curiosity and ambition, He attended NECCAs 3 year Professional Program after 6 months of training. Studied Straps in school in VT while concurrently training with Yury Bozyan and Victor Formine in Montreal. Graduating in 2021, He stepped straight into a world that would take him across more than 15 countries.

Since then, he has built a career as a Straps and Duo Straps Artist, Acrobatic Flyer, and character actor, performing with companies like Dragone, Cirque Dreams, Virgin Voyages, and No Ceilings. Driven by a pursuit of Technical excellence and artistry, Julian has also developed his own work that he displayed at VIVAFest in 2023 and 2024 earning Silver, the Cirque du Soleil Prize, and the Judges' Choice Award, and Silver at the American Circus Festival in 2026, and is attending more festivals later this year.

Julian now aims to prove what the human body is capable of as a performing artist and versatile athlete.
He is also an online straps coach and aims to grow and contribute to the straps community.
