Joy Joy

I began my circus training at age 19 (year 2012) with different teachers, and later completely committed to training with Vladimir Lissovssky, learning hand to hand balance and balancing with objects. I reinforced my artistic education with different teachers such as Karen Bernal and Luis Brusca. I formed Duo Kyrioz with Rafael Legaria, and for nine years we performed our hand to hand balance on spheres act with various Mexican companies, giving more than 2,000 performances in different circus rings. In 2019, we participated in the Christmas galas at the Teatro Circo Price in Madrid, Spain, and in 2021 we participated in the Christmas galas at the Fôvarosi Nagycirkus in Budapest, Hungary. We participated in various festivals and won one national award and five international awards, such as the Central European Circus Arts Association award and the Budapest Circus award for best duo act. In 2022, I finished my work with Duo Kyrioz, and in 2023, thanks to the support of the SACPC's “Creadores Escénicos” grant, I debuted my headbalance act as a soloist. From December 2023 to December 2025, I toured with Barley Circus, giving more than 800 shows in different states of the Mexican Republic.
