JC Barbosa is an artist from Amapa who has been working in the cultural art scene for 12 years. He is an actor, Circus Artist, Photographer, Cultural Producer and Art-Educator.
Graduated in Visual Art Technician, Circus Art Technician from Instituto Federal Escola Nacional de Circo (ENC / IFRJ – 2021).
He received the following awards and selections: FUNARTE scholarship for training in circus arts 2019 (Escola Nacional de Circo - Rio de Janeiro), Contemplated by the public notice of the ALDIR BLAC Law with the Solo Reprises of a Clown and the show MALABAREANDO (SECULT 2021), Selected to participate in Formación en Artes del Circo – Hop (France) in 2021, Selected to participate in the I Seminar Sesc of Art Education – SESC RJ 2021.
He was a Photography and Theater instructor at Escola Jardim Felicidade I in the Mais Cultura nas Escolas 2014 Program, was General Circus Coordinator in the Mais Cultura nas Escolas 2014 program, was an instructor of the Acrobatic Fabric Course for Beginners at Cia de Artes Tucuju with the Cirquinho Tucuju Project in 2016, was a Circus teacher at the MASTERPIENCE Dance Group from 2016 to 2018, was a Circus instructor at SESC - AP in the Anjos da Guarda in 2018, Creator of the NorCenica Intervention Project (Meeting of artists) that took place in Macapá from December 8 to 29, 2018, he was cultural production assistant at Cortejo Produções Artística in 2021 – AP and circus teacher at Projeto Ballet Manguinhos in Rio de Janeiro since 2020.
Work carried out: More than 20 Circus/Theatre shows, circus performer and circus educator.
He acted as an actor in Grupo Cia de Arte TUCUJU for 5 years from 2014 to 2018 where he was part of theater/circus shows contemplated by SESC, FUMCULT, SECULT and private companies in the region of Macapá. He participated in the Dance Group at Escola Petit Dance as a dancer from 2016 to 2018. He performs with his solo show “REPRISES DE UMA PALHAÇO” from 2015 to 2021, the work has already participated in two major festivals Circo/Teatro II Short Theater Festival – AP and the 7th Festival de circo de Taquaruçu, participation in the circus show URUTU em Cartaz at CCBB RJ 2022. Aerial acrobat at TUI MAGIC LIFE (German company) performance in Egypt 2022/2023. aerial acrobat at AIDA cruzes 2024.
Participation in the Video Clips of singers Felipe Sena and Faype as a circus performer in 2017, performer participation in the Recital dos Abraços of the Litero-Musical Group Poetas Azuis in 2017, participated in Comercial da Monte Casa e Construção as a circus performer in 2018.
