I am a 31 year old Icelandic national team artistic gymnast. I have competed at 5 world championships and many other international, continental, nordic competitions. My main disciplines are the still rings and high bar but I can still do all events. I am a sevenfold reigning National champion on rings and won the all around gold medal in 2016. Alongside that I have dabbled in power lifting and hold a national bench press record of 140kg's in my weight class of -59kg.
I am short and strong and therefore I have actually been referred to as "the mighty mite" on my pay check. I am a jolly guy who doesn't take life too seriously but I know when to focus all my energy in certain situations. I like to travel and learn new things, meet new people and I especially like working with talented individuals.
I have been working as a circus performer for a decade which started off in partner acrobatics and aerials and later on I learned how to juggle clubs and knives. However, my main circus discipline since 2018 has been hand balancing. I have starred in musicals, burlesque, variety, comedy and circus shows mainly in Iceland. In 2018 I went on tour with Circus Aotearoa in New Zealand (caravan summer tour in a big top) where the performers handle all the tent work. I did hand balancing, straps, group acrobatics and also helped with rigging. I also travelled to Greenland with the Icelandic circus after our summer tour that same year.
I lived in Paris for a year when I was 13 and learned to speak French. I speak fluent English in addition to my mother tongue (Icelandic) and I know my way around in Danish and Swedish.
