Izzi Kessner

Izzi Kessner (they/he) is a multidisciplinary circus artist originally from Los Angeles, and graduate of the Quebec Circus School.  They specialize in aerial rope and acro dance, and strive to share stories of authenticity through contemporary circus.  Izzi is interested in the creation of meaning in their circus storytelling, infusing their work with questions of identity and intention.  Through their work, Izzi has performed and coached circus across the United States and internationally, and partnered with major brands such as Nike.  

Beyond performing, they are a circus researcher with HUPR and presented at the Circus and Its Others IV conference in 2024.

Izzi Kessner (il/iel) est un artiste de cirque multidisciplinaire originaire de Los Angeles et diplômé de l’Ecole de Cirque de Québec. Il se spécialise en corde lisse et en acrodanse, et s'efforce de partager des histoires d'authenticité à travers le cirque contemporain. Izzi s’intéresse à la création de sens dans ses récits de cirque, infusant son travail de questions d’identité et d’intention.  Dans le cadre de son travail, Izzi a joué et encadré des artistes de cirque aux États-Unis et à l'étranger, et s'est associé.e à de grandes marques telles que Nike. 

Au-delà de ses performances, iel est chercheur en cirque avec HUPR et a présenté ses travaux à la conférence Circus and Its Others IV en 2024.
