Ian Faraonel is a multi-disciplined circus performer with over nine years of professional circus experience. Born in Romania, Ian was orphaned at birth. Adopted by his American family at age 3, Ian quickly demonstrated a propensity for strength and agility. Ian began formally training in the Brazilian Martial Arts Capoeira at age seven, which he continues to this day. At age 13, Ian was recruited by Sarasota’s Circus Arts Conservatory Youth Circus, Sailor Circus, “The Greatest Little Show on Earth,” where he trained with the late, world-renowned Circus performer, Willie Edelston (1923-2021). During his five years with the Sailor Circus, Ian performed web, acrobatics, adagio, flying trapeze, and hand balancing.
After graduating high school, Ian began his professional Circus career with Circus Sarasota (2012-2013) and the Zerbini Family Circus (2013), along with frequent private and public performances. Ian then began training high wire with Nick Wallanda and performed in the Wallanda Family Seven-Person Pyramid with Circus Sarasota (2014-2015). Ian then boarded a plane for Guam and the Encore! Magic and Comedy Show, where he performed hand balancing, aerial straps, acrobatics, rolla bolla, Cyr-wheel, cube juggling and magician’s assistant, in addition to carpentry, stage lighting, sound and technical staging (2015-2021).
