Henry is an actor, clown, mime, and improviser based in Chicago.
He holds a B.A. in Theatre Arts from Western Washington University where he focused on Acting and Devised Theatre. Henry studied the Jacques LeCoq method at The Commedia School in Copenhagen, Denmark under Ole Brekke, worked with the Grotowski company Akropolis Performance Lab, and has taught acting, voice, and physical theatre around the world since 2012. in 2018, Henry created and toured his first solo show Mimecycle: a mimed bicycle journey through the streets of Seattle. The show is currently in redevelopment and he is hoping to tour fringe festivals in 2020.
Henry's focus is on the presence of the actor and honesty in comedy. He is a student of clown, and has studied with Avner the Eccentric & Iman Lizarazu, Mik Kuhlman, Christine Longe, Deanna Fleysher, Willy the Clown (Berlin), Adrian Danzig (500 Clown), Christopher Bayes (Funny School of Good Acting), and Leah Urzendowski & Anthony Courser (the Neo-Futurists). Henry is an educator and currently runs a monthly Commedia Jam in Chicago with masks by Bruce Marrs, and leads intermittent LeCoq-based open movement sessions. He is currently looking for teaching opportunities in Chicago.
