Hailing from Tasmania, Griffin grew up hearing stories about the Circus, from his performer parents, which instilled a love of the art in him from a young age. He had an active childhood involved in competitive swimming and rowing but the call of the artform was ever present, leading him to attend the National Institute of Circus Arts. It was here that he specialised in Hoop Diving, Swinging Trapeze and Ensemble Chinese Pole. Griffin is an artist who loves the innate physicality and energy of circus, which allows him to express his boundless enthusiasm and zeal. He is particularly excited by the multidisciplinary nature of the art allowing him to work in multiple performance styles that interest him such as conceptual movement to more theatrical comedy. He especially loves ensemble work and the community that develops from creating art together. Since graduating he has performed with Circus Oz, trained with Circ Du Soleil and made an award winning fringe show with Split Focus Productions.
