Gaia Matulli, in art Gaia Ma, is a multidisciplinary artist; after training her first passion, painting, in 2009 she discovers the world of clowning and starts studying with different teachers.
In 2010 starts juggling with hats, and soon discovers the art of performing; in 2011 she starts the school Atelier of physical theatre Philip Radice (Torino), where she graduates in 2013.
After graduating she studies contemporary dance with Laura Vilar, Barcelona (Esp) and takes further classes with SwingCats, where she studies charlestoon, tap dance and body percussion.
She starts to work on 2008 with the company Fuocamboo , ( fire juggling and live music), with them she participated in different festivals in Italy:
Mercanzia, Ceolini, Ferrara buskers, etc..
In 2011/2012 she works in the company “Duo totale” with Francesco Garruti;in the same ears with Lorena Vitali, the theatre duet “Le Suorelle”, which they propose different comedy sketch, she was as well presenter of cabarets in Italy and Spain.
Since 2013, she has started her solo career with her clown show "Boero", with which she has performed all over the world, participated : MiniArtFest -Sofia (Bulgaria), NonSoloClown - Monza (Italia), Fira de Tarrega (Spagna), Linz (Austria)..and much more...
On stage she works with her solo pieces "Hether" , eccentric clown with hat manipulation, and " Come la Mansana" comic piece with apples and knife manipulation; present in cabaret : Cabaret Lecoq (Barcelona), Clown Gala (Milano), Festival Equilibri (Casalecchio di Reno), La Gran7 (La Plata, Argentina), Convencion di Circo di Paraguay, and more...
