Emily Torres

Hello! I am Emily Torres, a contortionist and aerialist currently based in Florida/NYC. I have been training and performing for about 12 years and circus is my full time career. I first started as a dancer with ballet and contemporary dance, then I found my love for contortion and aerial arts. My main disciplines are contortion, aerial hoop, aerial rope, and silks; however, I love creating in general. I am willing to try many different apparatuses and open to learning anything new. I first started performing with the company Moving Arts of Tampa Bay, performing in gala's and for corporate events. I soon after met my first coach Meaghan Wegg and trained with her in Montreal before going on to join the Cast of Elekron in Macau,China with AnyStage Productions where I performed aerial rope. After this, I went on to join the Creativiva team for the creation of 5 new shows for P&O cruises ship Iona. Currently, you can find me in NYC performing in Lara Jacobs Rigolo's production of Moonrise, and developing a new aerial hoop number with current coach Marie Michelle Faber. I am always looking forward the next exciting adventure.
