Hello! I'm Emerald, a circus artist and aerialist from Bethlehem, PA. I have been honing my craft since 2018 and perform a variety of different acts including aerial silks, lyra, and multi-hula hoops. I strive to shape my acts into something more than just tricks and by combining interesting movements, storytelling abilities, and personal experiences.
After studying many different dance forms since the age of ten, I found myself wanting to branch out to something more physically and creatively challenging. This led me to circus arts. I started training in aerial silks first when I was fourteen. Finding trainers in my area was difficult to say the least as aerial was not nearly as popular as it is today. After training for a few years, I found myself struggling even more to find more intense training which led me to have to teach myself.
In 2021, I began performing aerial arts. I was finishing up my senior year of high school when I got the opportunity to perform at a local arts hub a few times that year. It got my foot in the door for a lot of other opportunities. Once I had started getting more opportunities in 2023, I started a circus troupe with some friends called Aerial Inferno. We travel all over the tri-state aera to perform at renaissance fairs, street festivals, and private events. I had also completed my aerial teacher training and began instructing aerial at Abstract Aerial Academy in September of 2023.
