Elspeth Cudmore

Elspeth (she/they) is a queer circus artist based in Toronto who specializes in aerial pole, contortion, and outré performance art. After many years as a pole artist, they began to dive more deeply into circus in 2019. In the pole world, Elspeth is a national-level champion widely known for their signature dramatic style - a juxtaposition of melting movement and striking shapework, with just a dash of weirdness. In circus, Elspeth has confidently adapted this style to multiple realms - aerial pole, lyra, durational performance and (most recently) hairhanging. They are always eager to explore new movement and incorporate play into their work, making each performance a unique experience to behold.
