Born in Australia, Elli Huber is now an internationally acclaimed aerialist and singer specialising in swinging trapeze. Having trained at a world class level under coach Victor Fomine in Montreal, she then went on to tour with companies such as Cirque du Soleil, Roncalli Circus and Big Apple Circus.
Starting out as a child on-screen actor with a background in dance and music, she has over 25 years’ experience working professionally in the entertainment industry, 10 years of which she has spent performing and touring as an aerial acrobat and singer all across Europe, Canada, USA, Asia, South America and Australia.
Mixing her two passions, she is a unique artist - one of the few in the world who specialises in singing aerials; combining live vocals whilst performing aerial acrobatics on either dance trapeze, swinging trapeze or aerial hoop. Whilst she is a versatile artist, her main performance style lends itself to a sultry, powerful and alluring nature, bringing her contagious energy and vibrance to the stage wherever she goes.
Elli has performed with prestigious companies all across the globe as a solo artist, including Cirque du Soleil’s “Crystal”, where she played the main character whilst performing the solo swinging trapeze act. Some of her other accolades include America’s Big Apple Circus at New York’s Lincoln Centre, Australia’s Silver's Circus and Circus Rio, Mexico's Circo Atayde, Carnival Cruises touring the South Pacific, Austria’s Variete am Bodensee, Pacha - Sydney (directed by The Squared Division), Swiss Dream Circus in both Canada & Malaysia, Zirkus Mond in Berlin, New York’s Hideaway Circus, Italy’s Le Cirque, Zippos Circus Winter Wonderland in London, Cirque Starlight touring Switzerland, Festival Arte Migrante in Italy and Germany’s Dinner For Fun.
Her education expands from attending Aerialize - Sydney Aerial Theatre in Australia, to The Beijing International Arts School in China and Ecole Leotard in Montreal, Canada. She completed a three year Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Arts at The University of Sydney, majoring in sculpture & performance. She has also gone on to complete a set and costume design course in Sydney at the National Institute of Dramatic Arts (NIDA) and has more recently started her own costume design business called Skinted Costumes. Most of her performance costumes are of her own creation.
