Eirini Apostolatou, is a freelance performance artist and choreographer, born in Patras (GR) in 1991. She graduated from the National School of Dance Athens, in addition to the acrobatics (gymnastics champion of Greece, 1998-2003).
After her graduation she joined Jasmin Vardimon Company for JV2 and after the main company for the Sampled festival at Sadler’s Wells, London and the production «Tannhäuser» by Wagner, directing by Tim Albery and conducting by Hartmut Haenchen in Royal Opera House.
Eirini as a dancer she has collaborated and performed for Rootlessroot, Johannes Wieland, Anton Lachky, Out of Order, Sean Rogg, Christine Gouzelis & Paul Blackman, David Lloyd, Eleonore Valere Lachky and Hellenic Dance Company.
She has performed and present her work in festivals such as SEAD, No Ballet Frankfurt, Deltebre Dance Festival Spain, OneSmallStep Corfu, Lab the Dance Patras, Vereniging Poortgebouw 8th Rotterdam, Garbicz festival Poland, Camden fringe London, Platform Theatre London, Canvas festival London, Postcards festival London, Resolution London, Brighton festival, Burgos and Les Rencontres De Monthelon France.
Eirini is now based in Stockholm, working with Cirkus Cirkör for the new production of Tilde Björfors, “Epifonima”, which will premiere in 2018. She is also developing her own choreographic work as a co-founder of KyKLoTRoN Company together with the circus artist John Simon Wiborn and parallel teaches dance, partnering and physical theatre.
