Danny Tavori is a performer and creator from the world of contemporary circus and
dance. With a background in aerial rope and straps, Danny has developed a unique
perspective on movement that has led them to research at DOCH, Stockholm as part
of the MA program for contemporary circus practice.
Danny's art is a fusion of sensitivity and energy. They take calculated risks and seek
to redefine reality through performance, pushing the boundaries of the body and the
agency of materials. Before moving to the circus, Danny studied mathematics to
expand their notion of perspective, and this intuitive approach shines through in
their creative process.
Danny's work ranges from creating their own pieces to freelancing for directors and
choreographers, and teaching professional workshops across the globe. Through
their experiences with objects like juggling balls, Danny has learned the importance
of developing sensitivity in movement, and transferring that sensitivity from external
objects to the body itself. In their collaborations with other artists and the audience,
they seek to share their passion for performative, creative, and technical practice.
