Cirque Ergonomics is an community-based Occupational Therapy (OT) practice for children and adults. With Ergonomics (finding the fit between person, daily tasks and objects) and Circus Arts, ANYONE can prevent injury AND do things they never thought possible.
Participants of all ages and abilities have a place, regardless of goals. Some are performers interested in taking their talent to a functional professional level. Some are retired and suffer from chronic and degenerative conditions yet want to shine once again. And for some it's their very first time believing in themselves.
Participants may choose to receive non-circus related therapy. However, those who wish to harness the powers of circus to improve other aspects of life may choose to participate in a community circus and perform at festivals.
The goal of Cirque Ergonomics is not only to make Circus inclusive and accessible but as a tool to aid in specific client goals to achieve health promotion, injury prevention and to expand upon the inherent adaptation necessary in circus to empower the individual to take control of their health.
