Circus Abyssinia

• Circus Abyssinia is the world’s first bona fide Ethiopian circus, created by and for Ethiopian artists.
• In August 2017, Circus Abyssinia debuted their first show, Ethiopian Dreams, at Edinburgh Fringe in the UK.
• Circus Abyssinia has since performed to great acclaim in Europe, the U.S., the Middle East, Asia and Australia, at some of the most famous venues and festivals in the world: from the Sziget Festival in Budapest to the Fuji Rock Festival in Japan, from the Royal Variety Performance at the London Palladium to Broadway, New York.
• In excess of 300,000 people came to see the show in its first two years alone. Hailed by CNN Africa as Ethiopia’s newest export, circus has become a gateway to the experience of the rich and storied culture of modern Ethiopia for audiences around the world.
