Chetango Corporación Internacional

Chetango International Corporation, was founded in 2009 under the main direction of
STEPHEN WILLIAMS and the artistic direction of JORGE ANDRÉS PADILLA
MAYO. Is a dance company formed by 9 dance couples from Medellin, Colombian
city, who has a long artistic career and several awards get as individual as well as
collective.

Its artistic proposal is focused on building choreographies involving new enriched
concepts of dramatic elements, props and costumes. This renewing perspective
departs this Dance Company from the conventional tango shows, without losing the
essence, sensuality and elegance itself of this beautiful dance.

Until today, CheTango Corporation, has eight own compositions, which have won
ten dance awards won in Medellin Championships, and from another Colombian
festival. This artistic career has been made also with hundreds of tango
presentations in different parts of the Colombian territory.

As a corporation its objective is to encourage and foster the participation, training
and strengthening of cultural projects of Medellin City and the Metropolitan Area
involved, increasing social inclusion, citizen participation and productivity of cultural
groups through taking advantage of human resources, their talents, skills and artistic
abilities.
