Le Collectif Cheptel Aleïkoum
Cheptel : [all livestock] as the set of identities, desires, different points of view gathered in the same group.
Aleïkoum: [to all] to signify the opening of this group and its desire to share.
The Aleïkoum Cheptel is an artistic collective from the fifteenth promotion of the National Circus Arts Center of Châlons-en-Champagne. In the core of the group of 17 students of this promotion were added other circus artists from other promotions, but also musicians, composers, scenographers, graphic designers ... all from higher artistic formations.
The project of Cheptel Aleïkoum is based on the collective and what it brings in terms of multiple points of view, sensibilities and artistic worlds. The Aleïkoum Cheptel allows its members to mount and support their projects by relying on a pooling of financial, technical and human resources and collective intelligence.
Since 2001 Cheptel Aleikoum has produced 12 shows: Opus 1, Opus 2, Croassance, Happy Abyss, Fanfarerie Nationale, Opus 7, The Meal, Bitch or Wolf, The Circus Ball, Now or Never, The Princesses, The Galathon.
