Chaouki Amellal was born in 1992 in Oujda. He practiced gymnastics and breakdancing for many years while also being introduced to contemporary and hip-hop dance through various workshops, notably with the choreographer Sébastien Lefrancois.
In 2017, he joined, the National Circus School "Shems’y" in Salé, Rabat. He then chose Cyr wheel as specialty. He has participated in several artistic projects, including one directed by Mourad Merzouki in partnership with ENC in Morocco and ENSATT in France.
He obtained his graduation diploma in September 2020. He toured his Cyr wheel solo in France and internationally at the Belfast International Arts Festival. In 2023, he performed at the Alexis Gruss Circus School. In 2024, he will participate at the Paris Olympic Games.
Currently, he is involved in several artistic projects with Different French companies. He is the co-choreographer of Rêve encore plus with the company Foehn and co-choreographer of the creation 'VERTIGE' with Emilie Joneau.
