Blackout Paradox

Blackout Paradox was founded by the multi-talented artists Michael Bartizal and Michaela Hradecká in 2017.

The company focuses on street arts and flow arts with physical theatre, dance, and acrobatics elements. 

Blackout Paradox is a group of primarily professional performers. We love street theatre, but we also play in classical theatres.

We combine flow arts, movement theatre, dance, acrobatics, and martial arts in our performances.

We emphasise the sophisticated choreography, perfect technique, expression, and stage presence of performers.

We are always looking for new ways in our work. Whether with the help of new properties, props, scenography and inspiration and connection with other genres.

Michael Bartizal
Choreographer, lecturer and fiery dancer since 2006, Michael is one of the leading figures in the Czech flow artists community. 

He created dozens of fiery productions at the request of various companies, theatres, and film studios. Michael also shares his experiences by organizing flow arts and contemporary circus workshops.

Michaela Hradecká 

Michaela specializes in physical theatre, stilts performing, dance, playing in the open air and working with fire and light. She works with many theatre companies and performs in commercials, television series, and films. Michaela is a graduate of the College of Performing Arts and HAMU - Mime Department - Under the leadership of Boris Hybner.

Viktor Artner
Co-founder and performer of the Blackout Paradox ensemble. He also conducts training and creates training programs in the group.

He practices an organic, natural movement of the human body, combined with the conscious manipulation of various tools. In his motion, you can recognize the knowledge of martial arts and the love of flow arts. Over the last ten years, he has gained training and performative experience in multiple industries.

He performs in several theatrical performances, is professionally engaged in street theatre, fire and light shows, and is constantly looking for new ways to connect various movement techniques.
