Renata Barcellos is a Brazilian multidisciplinary artist specialized in contemporary dance and aerial circus arts. She holds a degree in Physical Education from Centro Universitário IBMR.
She began her career in classical ballet, jazz, and contemporary dance, joining the Cia Brasileira de Ballet at 18, where she performed classical and neoclassical repertoires in major theaters across Brazil. She later worked with Cia Viva and collaborated on other contemporary dance projects in Brazil.
In 2018, she transitioned into circus arts, training in group acrobatics and acro-dance before specializing in aerial disciplines. She studied at Intrépida Trupe, the Salto International Circus School, and the Escola Nacional de Circo do Brasil, focusing on dance trapeze, aerial straps, and aerial pole.
Renata is an award-winning performer who has presented her work at international festivals, including the The Circus Princess (Saratov, Russia), Almaty International Circus Festival (Kazaquistan), Salieri Circus Award (Verona, Italy), the Festival Mundial de Circo (BH, Brasil) and FIRCO (Madrid, Spain).
Her work is defined by the fusion of contemporary dance and aerial circus, combining technical precision with expressive movement.
