Hi!
My name is Axel Immler and i am a Swedish rigger, stage technician and former circus artist! I am locking for a job as a rigger!
In 2010 i started working as a rigger and over the years i gradually stoped working as an artist. In 2016 i more ore less stoped working as an artist all together and became a rigger full time. I primarily work with cirkus rigging and performer flying effects but i also do some honest stage technician work as well as rope assess and stunt rigging on occasion.
So why hiring me? Fore starters attitude towards the job! I am no young whipper snapper that found this job offer online and thought hey, this locks cool, il give it a try! This is what i do for a living! I have been in the industry one way or another for most of my life, I enjoy it and i have no plan on doing anything else in the future!
So let me tell you a bit more about my self! As far as i know i am easy to get along with and i am good at adapting to a new workplace. I love working creatively and relay enjoy finding solutions for impossible problems. I actually have a bad habit (if you want to call it that) of geting completely absorbed in solving a task i am assigned to a point where some one need to tell me to stop. I also like to know as much as possible about the equipment i am working with and i often spend my free time and breaks reading through manuals to familiarise myself with new equipment. I am strikt about cleaning and organising equipment and i often spend time positioning equipment before a show as well as putting it back after a show.
I am a stickler for rules when it comes to safety and i seldom bend the rules when it comes to the safety of artists and technicians. I only bend the rules if i have dun a thorough risk assessment on the matter. The only time i really put down my foot is when i think that a situation can put actors or technicians in unnecessary danger.
I also like to say that i have dun this long enough to know what i am doing, but i am also grown up enough to admit that i don’t know everything and i have no problem admitting it and aske for help if i am not certain of some thing.
I am otherwise ok with both taking and giving orders. I generally speak my mind about things even if i am not in charge. But when i am not in charge i'll still do what i am told even if i disagree.
I am extremely good at working under stress! The fact is that i have had people getting angry at me for not being visibly stressed in a stressful situation. And if stress somehow gets to me i won’t just explode, i will tell you in a calm non threatening voice that i can’t handle the tempo and i need more time. I am Scandinavian after all! Getting angry is not in our blood.
I have worked in theatres, circus tents, and sports arenas and know how to find creative solutions to problems showing up. I have worked both as an artist and a technician on both touring and stationary shows.
I am used to work irregular hours and all hours of the day as well as in all kind of wether and situations.
