As an artistic gymnast from the ages of 3 – 17 and representing my state in the Australian National Championships, gymnastics has always been integral to my life. Even as I achieved a Bachelor of Applied Science and gained employment in working with exotic animals, I still found a compelling desire to continue my gymnastics career as an adult. It was watching my sister Nikky Smith as a performer in Cirque Du Soleil’s Mystere that inspired me and showed me an achievable pathway of taking my passion for gymnastics into a professional context. Since 2016 I have been training trampoline/tumbling under Elliot Stratton from High Flyers Gymnastics along with high level flying trapeze skills at Flying Trapeze Perth – Cirque Escape. I have also been developing and performing skills in aerial hoop.
