Anthony Vito Rodriguez or also known as Invertebrate is a
specialty performer. Anthony has over fifteen years of experience in
hip-hop culture, primarily the dance style bboying. He also has over 10
years experience in live theatre production. Combining his contorting
flexibility and dynamic blow-up moves, along with his charisma and
musicality, bringing his unique style together.
He began working as a specialty performer for theatre-nightclub
THE BOX under the direction of owner-impresarios Simon Hammerstein,
Richard Kimmel, and Randy Weiner. Anthony has performed there close to
1000 nights since 2011 and subsequently assisted with the choreography
for the launch of the brand’s second location in London, followed
shortly thereafter by ventures in Dubai (THE ACT). Anthony has performed
in pop-up experiences and events under the umbrella of “The Box
Presents in locales around the world, including Toronto and Singapore.
Anthony brings a vast knowledge of specialty performance types to
events and showcases his performances internationally for Sotheby's, The
Guggenheim, and Lincoln Center to name just a few. Anthony has
contributed to such projects as KAZINO, Queen of the Night, and EDEN, a
collaboration between VWW and Celebrity Cruise Lines.
Anthony was also cast for an experience directed by Baz Luhrmann
as Lead Performer for the LOVE window in the live theatrical production
for Barney's 2014 holiday season. Including the marquee launch event of
Baz Dazzled, Bazmark and Barney's launch event at the Central Park Zoo,
and the seven-week holiday window run.
Outside of the live performance world, he has recently landed
television roles on the Warner Bros TV show, Gotham and Evil. He
produces international dance competitions annually to give back to the
hip-hop community. Before he was introduced to the hip-hop community, he
played professional video games as a young teen for several years
traveling to compete in LAN competitions.
