Ana Piu has been an actress, clown and researcher since 1991. Graduated in Anthropology from ISCTE / University of Lisbon and Master in Social Anthropology from IFCH / UNICAMP.
He began his training in 1991 in the course of actors at IFCTE in Lisbon and between 1992 and 1994 at the Centro Dramático de Évora. In 1996/97 he was a fellow of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation to study at the École International du Théatre Jacques Lecoq in Paris. He has worked in several theater companies, performing in both Europe, Brazil and Argentina. He was a hospital clown in Operation Nose Red, Lisbon / Portugal. between 2003 and 2011.
Founded in 2013 in Campinas / São Paulo, the Balbinas Bedouins Theater, whose language is focused on visual, physical, gesture, doll and poetic comedy. Creative writing, improvisation and dramaturgy. The Balbinas Bedouins Theater has presented in Brazil, Argentina and Portugal in Festivals, conventional and alternative spaces.
