I am an Aerialist and Neuroscientist from Brighton, UK. I completed three years of training at professional circus schools in Europe and hold a masters in Neuroscience from the University of Oxford. In 2024, I ran the first women’s straps symposium in London and then co-ran the first European Straps Convention in Valencia, Spain. I have performed at a number of festivals and theatres in the UK and abroad, both as a solo artist and as part of a company, including Shambala (UK) and Circarte (Spain). I like to explore the links between academia and circus, which means I use elements of physics such as angular momentum and torque to help improve my own technique and teach others and I also use the training of acrobats to help explain parts of neuroscience such as plasticity and the pain gate theory. I have taught three straps intensive courses, twice collaboratively and once alone and am currently working on a number of circus and neuroscience projects before embarking on my PhD. I have experience in content creation for social media having managed my own accounts to gain a following of over 40,000 people.
