My name is Alicia Yamamoto, and I am a performance medicine therapist with over a decade of experience supporting elite athletes, artists, and performers in sports, live entertainment, and holistic wellness. I am reaching out to introduce myself and share my interest in connecting with your organization for any current or future opportunities where my expertise could be of value.
My career has spanned leadership roles in high-performance environments, including Cirque du Soleil—both on international tour (Alegría in South Korea and Japan) and in resident shows in Las Vegas (O)—as well as professional basketball at the highest levels, including the NBA, NBA G League, and WNBA. In these roles, I have directed comprehensive performance medicine operations, delivering world-class hands-on care while overseeing performer health and safety, managing healthcare referrals, coordinating medical care across borders, and ensuring seamless department operations in both resident and touring productions.
I thrive in multidisciplinary and multicultural settings, collaborating with professionals from around the world to meet the unique demands of large-scale productions and global tours. Whether navigating international healthcare systems, adapting to cultural nuances, or coordinating logistics under tight schedules, I approach each challenge with flexibility, precision, and a commitment to excellence.
Most recently, I have been leading my own integrative healthcare practice, Yamamoto Wellness, where I work with performing artists and athletes to bridge advanced manual therapy, dry needling, regenerative medicine support, and holistic health coaching with whole-person well-being. This work has reinforced my belief that when trust, expertise, and collaboration intersect, performers can sustain not only peak performance but also long, healthy careers.
I am open to both full-time and contract-based opportunities and am willing to relocate for the right role. I would welcome the opportunity to connect, learn more about your organization’s needs, and explore how my leadership and experience could contribute to the health, safety, and performance of your artists and teams.
