Alex Oliva

Alex Oliva is a circus and movement artist based in Las Vegas. He specializes in aerial straps, aerial pole, and Cyr wheel with additional skills in tumbling, dance, and general aerials. Alex always seeks to push the boundaries of movement arts with captivating and innovative movement by combining elements from his gymnastics and dance background. A seasoned artist, he has performed around the globe at prestigious festivals such as Salieri Circus Award (Italy), the International New Acrobatic Theatre Festival (China), and the Western Australian Circus Festival. He has also performed with companies and shows like Cirque du Soleil's Cirque Dreams, "The Lion King" at Disneyland Paris, Talmi Entertainment/The Moscow Ballet's Nutcracker, and even at New York Fashion Week. He received his circus training under Victor Fomine and Eric Deschenes in Montreal. Prior to circus, Alex performed as a dancer for four seasons with contemporary dance group Urbanity Underground (Boston).
