I'm a sort of untrained mongrel speciality act who's stumbled into a number of practices by accident and have performed in and directed a few circus-y projects in random contexts such as LIFT, the ICA, British Festival of Visual Theatre, V&A, British Museum, Tate Modern, Shakespeare's Globe Theatre etc. I'm influenced by growing up in a dozen or so countries, watching itinerant street performers from Calcutta to Paris, inspired by which i got catapulted into a still unfolding voyage of self directed learning in magic, juggling, clowning, knife throwing, dangerous experiments with home made pyrotechnics and stuff not categorisable. I appear as myself in the film "Magicians" and featured as one of 24 virtuosos from around the world in a crazy project called BookOfCool which won 3 Webby Awards and got ripped off by ad directors and tv shows everywhere. I also turned down Cirque du Soleil in the early noughties. But didn't turn down opening onstage for rock acts like Paul Weller amd Mark E. Smith. Always looking to learn and collaborate and happy to bring magic as an artist, teacher or consultant to any project which has open-minded people attached or is not shy of engaging with an awkward if friendly outsider.
