Description:

Aspiring young performers are invited to audition for an enchanting production of "The Children’s Nutcracker." This regional touring youth ballet organization operates under the philosophy that every child should have the opportunity to dance. The organization is actively seeking local dancers, tumblers, and non-dancers of all experience levels to join their cast. All interested children are encouraged to participate, regardless of prior training. Auditions are scheduled for Sunday, September 27, 2026, commencing at 1:30 p.m. They will be held at the Glema Mahr Center for the Arts, located on the Madisonville Community College campus. Auditions will be organized by age group; specific start times can be found on the Glema Center’s website. Participants should arrive dressed in attire suitable for movement, such as a leotard with tights or stretch leggings and a tucked-in shirt. Please also bring appropriate footwear, including dance slippers, jazz shoes, or socks suitable for dancing, turning, and jumping. Rehearsals will take place at the Glema Center on October 18, November 1, November 22, and December 1. Costume fittings are set for December 2, leading up to multiple performances of this beloved holiday classic.
