Description:Ogunquit Playhouse, Ogunquit, Maine seeks experienced Wig + Hair/Makeup Assistant for our 2025 Season production of White Christmas at The Music Hall in Portsmouth, NH. Dates of employment November 28, 2025 to December 23, 2025.Ideal Candidate: Must be detail-oriented and remain focused in a fast-paced working environment. Two years prior wigs experience is required. Job Duties/Expectations include (but are not limited to): - Work directly with the Wig/Hair + Makeup Supervisor. - Dress performers in wigs/hairpieces during dress rehearsals and performances. - Perform quick changes which involve hair modification (including wigs, re-styles, and touch-ups). - Clean, style, and maintain wigs. - Apply and maintain application of any specialty makeup. - Able to read a wig running track. - Possess flexibility and positive backstage demeanor working with actors and other crew. - Run each performance (8-9 shows/week). - Assist with load-in/strike. - Roller setting and styling from pictures required. - Ventilating skills and a Cosmetology license are a plus.
