Berkshire Theatre Group, celebrating its 97th year as a professional theatre in Western MA, is accepting resumes for a Wardrobe Supervisor for the 2025 summer season. The festival will have five fully produced productions, plus concerts and special events on two stages. Weekly salary of $650 plus housing and all utilities provided. Summer season runs from mid May until mid/late August. Employment dates vary based on position.

The Colonial Theatre, founded in 1903, and Berkshire Theatre Festival, founded in 1928, are two of the oldest cultural organizations in the Berkshires. In 2010, under the leadership of Artistic Director and CEO Kate Maguire, the two organizations merged to form Berkshire Theatre Group (BTG). Berkshire Theatre Group's mission is to support wide ranging artistic exploration and acclaimed performances in theatre, dance, music and entertainment. Every year, BTG produces and presents performances to over 68,000 attendees and, through our Educational Program, serves over 11,000 Berkshire County school children annually. In July 2020, Berkshire Theatre was the first company in the United States to earn approval from Actors+rsquo; Equity Association to produce a musical (Godspell) in the wake of the COVID-19 Pandemic. In 2028, Berkshire Theatre will celebrate 100 years of making theatre.

This position reports to: Costume Shop Supervisor and ultimately, the Director of Productions.

Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience running wardrobe on previous productions
- Proficient experience organizing and leading a wardrobe team
- Working knowledge of basic costume construction techniques, tools, and equipment
- Ability to maintain confidentiality between actors and fellow stage crew members
- Knowledge of costume paperwork needed to effectively run a production of a show
- Ability to complete assigned tasks within a timely and efficient manner (i.e. quick changes, costume tracking, etc.)
- Proficiency in hand sewing techniques as well as proficiency in domestic sewing machine use
- Ability to work on garment alterations with minimal or written instructions
- Wig maintenance skills preferred
- Basic understanding of Google Suite (Google Drive, Docs, Sheets)
- Ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 25-50 lbs

Responsibilities:
- Supervise all wardrobe related activities for assigned show(s)
- Supervise a potential team of wardrobe assistants on shows at both theaters
- Assist in creating wardrobe tracking paperwork for all summer shows
- Perform laundry duties nightly or as necessary for each show assigned
- Maintain all wigs and costume pieces for assigned show(s)
- Sit in technical rehearsals and attend all show calls of assigned show(s)
- Attend all tech week production meetings and take notes during technical rehearsals
- Track + update wardrobe task lists as needed
- Assist with any summer concerts/events as needed
- Other related duties as assigned

Expectations:
- Adherence to company safety regulations and rules of conduct
- Collaborate with coworkers on assigned tasks.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with other crew members and with actors who are cast in assigned show(s)
- Ability to handle pressure professionally in high stress situations
- Be self-sufficient in running wardrobe duties and laundry practices
- Read all scripts for all productions that are assigned
- Flexibility towards job assignments
- Represent the organization appropriately and abide by the mission statement.
- Demonstrate behavior showing a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion and perform work in a manner that is consistent with that commitment.
