Job Description PNP Events Ltd is looking for a Wardrobe Manager to join their busy team. The role involves planning and organising wardrobe (including WHAM) for large-scale productions including 'The Polar Express Train Ride'. The ideal candidate is highly organised, experienced in theatrical wardrobe management and comfortable working in both a structured office environment & fast-paced live event settings. The candidate will ideally start at the end of June. Full-time, office-based in Telford for planning and preparation phases. Schedule: Hours will mostly be conducted 9-5 Monday-Friday during planning and preparation phases. There will be weekend, evening and holiday hours required during production periods, with travel required during key periods (including November and December, where 'The Polar Express Train Ride' takes place). Must be comfortable working onboard a moving train and in small backstage areas Some lifting and manual handling involved (costume racks, storage etc.) Interviews will be week commencing 2nd & 9th June. Job Requirements Essential Previous experience in wardrobe management for theatre, film or live events Experience in costume sourcing, design and creation Strong sewing and costume maintenance skills, including laundry Experience of wig and beard application, styling and maintenance Working knowledge of theatre costume Strong teamwork and collaborative skills Excellent communication and organisational skills A flexible approach and can do attitude Solution-focused candidates who work calmly under pressure Ability to use initiative to tackle problems when they arise A full UK driving license and willingness to travel during rehearsals and events Desirable Experience working on immersive or interactive theatre productions Knowledge of themed costume styling Experience working with mascot or character costume maintenance A formal qualification in Costume or related aspects Job Responsibilities Office-based Pre-Production (Telford HQ) Plan and manage wardrobe logistics, including costume design co-ordination, ordering of costume and cast fittings Source, purchase or hire costumes and accessories, ensuring they align with production standards Create and maintain detailed wardrobe records On-Site Event & Rehearsal Support (UK Travel required) Oversee costume distribution and create plans for dressing and quick changes during rehearsals and live performances Attend rehearsals and dress rehearsals Follow up all notes made by the production team regarding costume Wig & Beard Application & Maintenance Support WHAM elements of the show, ensuring the cast's look remains consistent with the design, and managing supplies Style and apply specialist wigs and beards (e.g. Santa Claus) to ensure a realistic and high-quality appearance Health, Safety & Comfort Compliance Adhere to health and safety regulations, including fire safety for fabrics Team & Production Co-Ordination
