Job Summary

JAS Theatricals and National Theatre Productions are looking for an experienced Video No. 1 to join the UK Tour of the hit NT play Dear England, in 2025-2026.

Job Description

Contract Type:

Fixed Term Contract - UK Theatre/BECTU Agreement

Duration:

Full-time fixed term contract, starting on or around w/c 1st September 2025. Exact dates to be confirmed.

Fixed term contract dates are dependent on production and production schedule (dates subject to change and subject to the Producer's right to give not less than two weeks' notice of closure of the production).

Some availability for prep and production meetings may be required prior to the start of the engagement. These calls will be confirmed nearer to the time, and you shall be paid the salary pro-rata for any hours worked.

Salary:

£995 per week, buy out.

Hours of Work:

A maximum average of 52 hours per week, normally worked over 6 days, with two days off on a two-week average. This agreement will entail Sunday working and Sunday travel.

Annual Leave:

All accrued holiday to be taken during the designated holiday weeks within the touring schedule.

Subsistence:

Paid in accordance with the UK Theatre/BECTU Commercial Theatre Agreement.

Probationary Period:

12 weeks

Company Manager, Stage Manager

Job Requirements
Person Specification

Extensive operational Video experience and excellent technical skills including familiarity with LX systems.
Previous large-scale touring experience essential.
Awareness of relevant Health & Safety legislation.
Flexible and self-motivated with the ability to work well with actors, and other theatre staff.
A calm and practical approach to technical troubleshooting.
Good communication and organisational skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
