The Video Engineer’s primary responsibility is supporting the facilitation of video and projection elements of Festival programming. During the pre-season they assist the Video Supervisor in planning and preparing for visiting companies’ technical requirements. They also participate in the installation of video systems and equipment into the Ted Shawn Theatre (TST), Doris Duke Theatre (DDT), and ancillary and support spaces across the campus. During the festival they work closely with the Production Management teams of the TST and DDT and the staff of visiting companies to support show specific video and projection needs. The Video Engineer joins the run crew of TST and DDT productions to operate video systems in the absence of a company technician. They also support the Video Supervisor in the organization and daily maintenance of the campus’ video infrastructure and equipment.
