Job Summary
Someone to venue manager a site-specific, all-female/non-binary version of Shakespeare's Henry V performed at the Temple Church, Redcliffe from 19th June - 2nd Aug 2025.
Job Description
Pay: £16 per hour. This is a temporary PAYE role and the employee will be in receipt of holiday pay calculated at a rate of 12.07%.
Hours: Tuesday - Saturdays for the period 19th June - 2nd August. 6hrs per shift/ 5 days per week/ 7 week contract. Shift start time of 4pm/6pm depending on show start time. There will be some additional days the Venue Manager will be needed prior to the run to help train staff and prepare the space - w/c 16th June.
Job Requirements
Who we are looking for
Proven experience in venue management or a similar role within the theatre or performing arts industry.
Ideally, experience working in site specific, outdoor productions or similar events.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively managing diverse teams.
A passion for the arts and a strong understanding of production processes and best practices.
Ideally local to the Bristol area or with a base in or nearby

Job Responsibilities
Roles and responsibilities of the Venue Manager
to assist managing the day-to-day running of the whole site during the dates 19th June - 2nd August;
to attend full training and induction in your role responsibilities, company procedures and policies;
to be responsible for the set up, management and pack down of the box office & merchandise stall each day (with assistance from other the Box Office Supervisor and other FOH staff);
to greet audience members, providing a warm welcome to the show, checking bookings, solving issues and providing clear information about the format of the show and site;
to be a point of information for our audiences, able to direct them towards key locations like toilets, bar and box office;
to be responsible for ensuring the site remains clean and tidy in public areas and instructing FOH staff to maintain it efficiently;
to be responsible with the Company Stage Manager for managing and liaising with audiences after a potential show stop due
