Underbelly is delighted to present Tweedy's Massive Circus, a brand new show from the world-famous Tweedy, presented in a 300 seat circus tent touring across the UK for 14 weeks.
Job Description
The Venue Duty Manager is a vital member of the on-site team, managing all aspects of the live show, including managing the operations team, dealing with any customer service and line managing the on-site production staff.

Your main responsibilites are to manage all aspects of a the venue, making sure that both the operations team and the producition team have everything they need to consistenly deliver the show to the high standard required. You should be a good people manager whilst also having the multi-tasking prowess to handle a live show and all aspects that come with that.

You will be working under the instructions of the Company, the Underbelly Producers and the Underbelly Production Manager. This role is a key member of the on-site team and is responsible for all aspects of the production and operations of the live show.

Dates of Engagement

Rehearsal period: 30th April - 19th May 2024

Tour Dates: 20th May - 28th July 2024

Pay Details

Freelance contract:

£800/week (£715/week + holiday pay) based on a 6 day week.

In additon to the above, £120 per diems per week

Accomodation provided at each location.

Job Requirements
Ideal Experience

Experience in managing and developing teams in a busy customer service environment, exceeding customer expectations.
Ability to work under pressure and stay calm as well as prioritise tasks and use initiative.
Good, clear verbal communication skills with a confident ability to engage with both individuals and groups.
Demonstratable knowledge of customer service principals.
Accuracy and attention to detail.

Job Responsibilities
Site Build

Manage the operations aspects of the get-in; the box office install, the bar install, the merch install, making sure any staff involved in the install of these aspects know their duties and schedule
Daily Duties

Manage front of house, bar and merch teams
Deal with any escalated customer complaints
Part of the ticket scanning team during audience ingress
Give house/audience clearance to the Site Manager in order to start the show
In charge of the customer journey, including site aesthetics and cleanliness of the site
Line manage the Company Stage Manager and Technical Manager
Site Strike

Manage the operations aspects of the box office, bar and merch de-rig, making sure any staff involved know their duties and schedule and making sure that all of the equipment for these sections is packed on the transport vehicle in an appropriate fashion
Manage travel aspect of the move from venue to venue for the operational staff, including any transport and accommodation
