BESTAgency is seeking Full-time, Part-time and On-call vocalists for our on-going Gondolier Program at the Venetian Resort Hotel & Casino. Our singing gondoliers are the icons of the Venetian Hotel. Each successful candidate will complete a paid, MANDATORY training in which they will learn how to operate a gondola. Gondolier candidates:
Must be able to sing and project in acapella
Have an out-going personality and enjoy interacting with guests and visitors while operating a gondola
Must be able to swim
Create an Italian character and learn various pre-approved Italian songs
Must be able to commit to a minimum number of work hours per week
Must be able to take direction well
AUDITION REQUIREMENTS & INFORMATION:
Candidates should be prepared according to the following:
TRAINING: If selected, candidates MUST be available for paid training:
Thursday, February 18th 8:00am – 10:00am Jump Test *candidate must successfully pass in order to start training (involves jumping into the deep end of the canal and climbing back into the gondola)
Thursday, February 18th 10:00am – 12:00pm Orientation
Saturday, February 20th – Saturday, March 6th Training – Monday through Saturday
*Note: Training takes place Monday-Friday 6:00am – 10:00am and Saturdays 8:00am – 12:00pm. Training schedule is not flexible and candidates must attend every day

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Candidates are required to pass a drug test before beginning training
HOW TO SUBMIT:
Send over two RECENT video clips of you singing, along with a resume and a headshot. Preference would be to showcase two contrasting vocal pieces 16 bars, 32 measures (acapella); at least 1 piece should be in Italian that shows your vocal range, vocal technique and voice projection; preferably an upbeat song that shows your stage presence/performance AND a pop/musical theater ballad or operatic aria.
Please DO NOT include a video file as an attachment. Include a link to a hosted platform such as YouTube, Vimeo or Dropbox, Google Drive.
