TROUPE VERTIGO is a Los Angeles circus, dance and theater performance company looking for circus acts and performers to cast in various shows Fall 2019/Winter 2020 and beyond.
We are looking to cast ensemble members as well as featured stand-alone circus acts to be performed in our collaborations with Symphony Orchestras around North America. Troupe Vertigo is looking for highly engaging and authentic physical, circus and dance theatre performers with a strong performing presence that is legible for a large audience and who are experienced working both as a soloist and in ensembles. We want people who can move well and follow set choreographies, some of whom are dance trained. Collaboration with directors and fellow cast members is highly valued. We are looking for performers who have circus disciplines at a high performance level but can also bring dance and character work in support of other acts. We don’t have a fixed view of what circus disciplines we will include but are interested to explore: hand balancing, juggling -passing a plus, diabolo, chair balancing; freestanding ladder; Russian bar, all Aerial disciplines as well as clowning and character work. We welcome applications from performing duos and from people from all backgrounds and cultures.
