DESCRIPTION
Big League Productions (BLP) seeks submissions for a non-union ASM for the upcoming 2024-2025 national touring production of The Cher Show.
REPONSIBILITIES:
This full-time, touring position will report to (and collaborate with) the Production Stage Manager, Company Manager, and General Manager to support the day-to-day business, logistics, and operations of the tour.
Assistant Stage Manager duties include:
Assisting the PSM throughout the rehearsal and technical process
Running the deck during performances
Facilitating brush-up and understudy rehearsals during the tour’s run (making sure that put-ins are happening)
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
BLP seeks strong team players, with the ability to work well under pressure. Attention to detail is also of utmost importance.
Strong communication skills.
Previous touring experience, while not required, is preferred.
A valid US driver's license is required.
The ability to lift up to 50 lbs., push/pull 100lbs, stand for extended periods of time (3+ hours), navigate multiple levels of stairs.
Vaccination against COVID-19 is required, except for those with a documented medical or religious exemption.
TIMELINE:
The Cher Show is booked for split-week and week long engagements, with layoff weeks, throughout the itinerary:
Rehearsals Start: October 23rd, 2024 (NYC)
Full Company Rehearsals Start: October 29th, 2024
Tech Starts: November 6th, 2024 (Duluth, GA)
Performances: November 9th, 2024 - May 4th, 2025
COMPENSATION:
Salary starts at $800 per week (increasing with experience).
Hotel and per diem provided on the road.
Layoffs are unpaid.
