Aerial Teacherexpired

The Circus Studio - Company - United States - StageLync

Posted by:  The Circus Studio

Posted on: Sept. 16, 2019
United States United States, Claremont California

Description:

We are a small aerial school looking for a new teacher and youth program director. Directing 3 aerial shows per year as well as creating choreography with our students, and teaching our Level 2 and 3 teens and adults classes (approximately 10-12 classes per week plus a few hours of private clients). Our apparatus are Silks, Lyra, Cube, Hammock, Static and Dance Trapeze. We currently have two spaces in Claremont California and you would mainly be teaching in our theatre space onstage where your shows would take place. This is a one year position with the hope you stay much longer! Pay is based on your experience. We are a small studio that has built up to great popularity over the past 9 years in a small beautiful college town 35 miles west of Los Angeles. There is a lot of room for creative growth, and teaching of additional apparatus, and additional circus skills (such as accordance, bungee, harness work, etc). We are interested in someone with a lot of love for aerial, great dedication, and a love of teaching. We do not want a professional aerialist who is more interested in performing and then leaving us for a circus, we really want a teacher who is an amazing aerialist.
Specifics: Mondays - Thursdays afternoons and evenings with an opportunity for more hours, additional recitals, workshops, etc. Our studio has 14 teachers currently and in June our Program Director is leaving. This is someone's lucky chance to continue the education of our extremely talented advanced teens and adults, and to be a big fish in a small pond.
