Theatre Manager & Teacher of Production ArtsexpiredSir William Borlase's Grammar School |
Description:Job DescriptionRequired for September 2024, following the promotion of the current postholder to a senior freelance position in the theatre industry, a rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Production Arts specialist to join the passionate Performing Arts Faculty at Borlase as our Theatre Manager, leading on the delivery of the Production Arts BTEC qualification and working alongside all other Performing Arts staff. The candidate would need to be confident teaching BTEC Production Arts/Technical Theatre with 16-18 year olds, and wider industry experience would be essential. Other than teaching and assessing the students within the Production Arts course, key responsibilities of the post include management of the theatre facilities for both internal and external events (including rigging and set up) and support of the Music, Dance and Drama curriculum work (including examinations). The new Theatre Manager will be supported by a new Performing Arts Technician, who we will look to recruit later this year.
