TENT CAPTAIN – TOURING CIRCUS / LARGE EVENT TENTS
We are looking for an experienced Tent Captain for a touring circus in Australia.
This role is NOT entry-level.
We are seeking people with real, hands-on experience working with:
• big tops / circus tents
• large pole tents
• event or wedding marquees
• festival or touring structures
Role includes
• Leading tent setup & pack-down
• Raising king poles and handling canvas
• Hands-on work during bump-in / bump-out
• Ensuring safety and correct procedures
• Touring between locations (QLD / NSW)
Requirements
• Proven experience with large tents or marquees
• Physically fit, calm under pressure
• Able to work within an existing management structure
⚠️ This is a Tent Captain role.
It does not include autonomous control over the crew.
All operational decisions are made by circus management.
